Clallam County Health & Human Services, Public Health Section, offers a two-hour course on blood-borne pathogens that meets annual certification standards for employees requiring this training.
It is held on second Wednesdays in March, June, September and December in the Public Health Room at 111 E. Third St., Suite 1A, Port Angeles, and costs $20.
The course covers hazards of and protection from exposure to blood and other body fluids, major conditions that employees might be exposed to on the job and what to do if exposed.

Sprint Cup car comes to Sequim
The Home Depot hosts the company's signature Sprint Cup car, the No. 20 car driven by Joey Logano, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, at the Sequim store at 1145 W. Washington St.

First Fed offers school supplies
First Federal and America's Promise Alliance want to ensure that children have the supplies they need as they head back to school.
Red wagons are in each of First Federal's eight branches. Community members are encouraged to help fill the wagons with school supplies including paper, pencils, glue sticks, scissors, notebooks and more.
Everything donated will be given to local charities for distribution to children in need.
School supplies collected at the Port Angeles branches will be delivered to the community Back to School event for distribution 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 28 at Jefferson Elementary School.
