A Sequim woman was transported to the hospital following a Jefferson County collision.

At 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, four vehicles, including two from Sequim, were traveling toward Highway 104 on Center Road, six miles southwest of Chimacum,

Kathleen Jordan, 62, of Snoqualmie, pulled her 2004 Subaru Forester to the shoulder to avoid a collision with a vehicle illegally passing a tractor trailer in the other lane.

Margaret Robertsen-Burris, 54, of Port Angeles, was behind Jordan in a 2007 Honda Civic and stopped safely in the shoulder behind the Subaru with two car lengths between them.

Charles Marr, 76, of Sequim, passed the Civic in his 2001 Toyota Prius and attempted to pull to the shoulder.

He struck the Civic’s front driver’s side, pushing it further into the space behind the Subaru.

Ashley Debler, 23, of Sequim, then drove her 2008 four-door Mazda in front of Robertsen-Burris’ Civic hit the back end of Marr’s Prius’ and pushed it into the back of Jordan’s Forester.

Debler was transported to Jefferson General Hospital with injuries and was released.

The other three drivers were not injured.

The unknown vehicle passing in the other lane would be charged for reckless driving if found.

Debler and Marr were not charged following an update from the Washington State Patrol.
