Imagemaker's slide show is on dam
Photographer Harry von Stark presents a slide lecture on his works, including chronicling the demolition of the Elwha River Dam, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the Olympic National Park Visitors Center, 3002 Mount Angeles Road, Port Angeles.
He will be joined by Kevin Yancy, Elwha Hydro Power Plant foreman, who will share his behind-the-scenes observations of the Elwha dams' history and the removal project.
Von Stark also will speak about his approach to the camera and provide a glimpse into the making of the metallic prints in his exhibit "Harry von Stark: Elwha Echoes - Future Relics of the Elwha Dam" at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center.
