The National Weather Service expects rain to wash away the snow starting this afternoon.
After an unusually cold and snowy Thanksgiving week, temperatures are expected to reach highs in the low 40s and lows in the mid-30s throughout the next week.
Highs today are expected to reach 45 degrees in the Dungeness Valley with a low near 36 degrees tonight.
Rain is expected to begin around 4 p.m. today and continue through the evening and into Saturday, with thunderstorms possible mid-morning as the temperature rises to 42 degrees.
Sunday will see a high near 41 degrees and mostly cloudy skies with rain returning Monday.
