Emmanuel Herrera brings his mermaid fiancee, played by Alex Seay, home to meet the parents. Rachel Hardy is the unhappy mom. The skit, “Guess What’s Coming to Dinner,” is a classic from the old Carol Burnett Show.

‘Adolescent Hunter’ Patrick Carpenter (with a pitch-perfect Aussie accent) spies on Harrison Mitchell and Brianna Albright. The skit is a spoof of “Crocodile Hunter” in which the hunter studies the unusual dating rituals on display at a high school. Sequim Gazette photos by Mark Couhig

“Something familiar,
Something peculiar,
Something for everybody:
Comedy tonight!”

To help celebrate Sequim High’s centennial year, the class of 2011 has put together a special comedy show featuring a very large cast.

“Senior Night Laugh-In: One Hundred Years of Comedy” includes sketches from comedy legends Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Lily Tomlin and George Burns and Gracie Allen. To help mix it up, the show will include original sketches as well.

The show opens at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 3. Additional performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, and Saturday, Feb. 12. Matinee performances will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, and 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10.

Tickets are available at the door of the school’s auditorium one hour before each show. Tickets are $7 general admission and $5 for students with Associated Student Body cards, children 12 and under and senior citizens.
