A special Medicaid information meeting for health care providers, originally planned for Port Angeles, will be held at 2 p.m. today, March 30, at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave.

 

In the past, managed care-eligible Medicaid clients in Clallam County have been able to enroll with two health plans — Molina Healthcare of Washington and Regence Healthcare — but they could choose to remain covered by regular fee-for-service Medicaid instead.

 

Now the two health plans have contracted with enough local providers that they have capacity for all clients eligible for managed care. Except for American Indian/Alaska natives, all eligible nonenrolled clients will need to select one of the two plans by Oct. 1.
