Sequim Dairy Queen, 720 W. Washington St., reopened Thursday, April 14, under new management, Robin Stringer, general manager, and her parents, Ron and Gini Sessous of Poulsbo.
The Sessouses built the restaurant 21 years ago; they sold it to Al and Debi Davies 13 years ago. The Davies sold the business back, and it closed for repairs on Tuesday, March 22.
The Sessouses and Stringer also own Poulsbo Dairy Queen.
Stringer said the menu remains the same but they’ve cleaned and fixed the ice cream machines, which has led to a better taste.
Dairy Queen had 11 employees before the management change but Stringer said they hired them back on and an additional 15 employees, including a maintenance worker.
Stringer said they intend to remodel at a later date, including painting and adding more landscaping.
“We want to make it a nice-running business again,” Stringer said.
Sequim Dairy Queen is open 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 10:30 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday.
Business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
