If you like sacred music, show tunes, contemporary Christian music and boogie-woogie, get ready for a treat.
The Smith family has put together an eclectic menu of popular music to perform at their upcoming concert, which will be held at 7 p.m., April 30, at Sequim Community Church.
As Sequim old-timers recall, the singing Smiths are the six children of John and Leatrice Smith. If that still doesn’t ring a musical bell, try saying the six children’s names in chronological order: Bron, Brenda, Breta, Breva, Brodi and Branette. They now have been joined by several of the grandchildren, too.
The songs include everything from “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy to Faure,” said Branette Richards, the youngest of the original six Smith singers. The concert is a fundraiser for some of the Smiths’ favorite charities.
The concert is free and open to all, though an offering is requested.
For more information, call Branette at 460-9274.
