Participants will learn about special websites and techniques for researching the military veterans among their ancestors.
There is no fee for attending the presentation.
Fleck has a Bachelor of Arts in history from the University of Washington and a law degree from Seattle University. His current focus is researching military ancestors.
Fleck has completed three lineage proofs for the National Society of Children of the American Revolution and is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Pilgrim Hopkins Heritage Society.
He also is the webmaster for the 74th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry — a German regiment that served in the Union Army — and the webmaster for the 12th Massachusetts, a regiment of men from what is now Maine who served in the American Revolution.
For nearly 10 years Fleck chaired the Seattle Genealogical Society’s German Interest Group.
