Clallam County PUD crews continue to work in the Carlsborg area to restore water.

After finding the original break in Carlsborg and repairing it, water is now being pumped, but the reservoir has been drained, as well as all of the piping, said Mike Howe, PUD executive communications coordinator.

“It’s taking a long time to fill back up,” Howe said. “At this time, water hasn’t even reached the reservoir yet. It’s been running full time and water crews are on site monitoring the reservoir’s progress.”

Estimates are that most people should be back in water by 5 p.m.

As customers begin receiving water, PUD officials ask that they open their taps and expect some air initially until the water is fully in service.
