Schools make last-day change
Thanks to a waiver from state officials, Sequim schools will close on June 15.
The district originally planned to close the school year that day. Four full-day cancellations in mid-January forced the district to use all three built-in snow days and extend the year to Monday, June 18.
Gov. Christine Gregoire declared Clallam County eligible to request a waiver for the fourth snow day.
Dismissal times are as follows: no kindergarten classes; 11 a.m. for Helen Haller Elementary, Sequim Middle School and Sequim High School; and 11:20 a.m. for Greywolf Elementary.
