Assault

Robin Scott Hensely, 55, of Sequim, pleaded not guilty to second-degree assault in Clallam County Superior Court July 13. He is accused of pulling a knife on a man in the Sequim Safeway parking lot during a verbal argument July 1.

Trial is set for Sept. 24.

Burglary

Michael Gregory Fleming, 18, of Sequim, pleaded not guilty to a charge of residential burglary in Clallam County Superior Court July 13. He is accused of entering a relative’s home and taking collector coins worth about $30. Trial is set for Oct. 3.

Vehicle prowls

Police arrested two Sequim teens on suspicion of breaking into numerous cars between July 10 and July 12. The boys, ages 16 and 17, were found to be in possession of a stolen sub-woofer and a GPS unit, along with brass knuckles. The Sequim Gazette does not identify juveniles accused of crimes. 

One of the boys told police the two entered or attempted to enter more than 30 cars during the two-day period and stealing more than $700 worth of property. They allegedly traded one stolen GPS unit for cigarettes.

The two boys are in custody at the Clallam County Youth Center on investigation of vehicle prowl, theft, possession of stolen property and possession of dangerous weapons.

Assault

Dakota Long-Wentz, 19, of Sequim, was arrested on suspicion of assault July 13. 

Sequim police responded to the report of a domestic disturbance near the 100 block of South Rhodefer Road and contacted an 18-year-old woman who said Long-Wentz threatened her with a stun gun, said he was going to kill her and choked her during an argument.

He is in custody at the Clallam County jail on investigation of second-degree assault in lieu of $5,000 bond. Prosecutors plan to file charges July 18.
