The Port Angeles office of the Washington State Department of Revenue is hosting a free workshop for new and small business owners from 9 a.m.-noon on Tuesday, Jan. 15, at the Clallam Transit System Conference Room, 830 West Lauridsen Blvd., in Port Angeles. 

Participants learn about Washington excise taxes, reporting classifications, deductions, tax incentives, sales tax collection, and record-keeping requirements. An informal setting allows participants to ask questions specific to their businesses, and all receive a helpful workbook and reference guide to Department rules and regulations.
