A year ago, most people wouldn't have guessed that just one mile south of 7 Cedars Casino through a thicket of tall alder trees is a training center that helps people become one with nature and themselves.
Seven Boy Scouts of the same patrol will celebrate achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at Troop 1491's Eagle Scout Court of Honor at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, in the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim. A reception will follow.
The Sequim City Band will present a Concert in the Park at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 21. The 60-piece concert band, directed by Sanford Feibus, is in its 17th season playing free pops concerts for the North Olympic Peninsula. Summer concerts are on the third Sunday of each month through September at the James Center for the Performing Arts, 563 N. Rhodefer Road, in the Water Reuse Demonstration Park just north of Carrie Blake Park.
