The city's banner stand at Washington Street and Sunnyside Avenue that was damaged in October 2008 won't be replaced until 2010 or later when sufficient general fund money or hotel/motel taxes are available, the Sequim City Council decided Monday night.
The Irrigation Festival float is one of the most visible parts of the festival as it travels to approximately 16 parades throughout the year and represents Sequim around Western Washington. The festival committee is searching for a new float construction chairman as well as a float designer for the upcoming festival year.
