Ione Gaston

A memorial service for former Sequim resident Ione Gaston will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 26, at the Dominion Terrace clubhouse, 1301 S. Third Ave., Sequim. Mrs. Gaston died June 27, 2009, in Arlington, at the age of 103.

She was born March 25, 1906, in Lynden, to George S. and Mary Sophia Jensen Alderich.

She married Herbert Louis Gaston in 1938 in Everett.

She worked for the city of Everett and moved to Sequim in the 1940s.

An active Lions Club member, she also was an honorary pioneer.

She worked at the Sequim Visitors Center for 13 years.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jeff and Brenda Gaston of Arlington and two granddaughters.



Elizabeth H. 'Betty' Worthington

Private graveside services will be held for

Sequim resident Elizabeth H. "Betty" Worthington, who died July 7, 2009, at the age of 96.

She was born July 2, 1913, in Everett, to Samuel and Elizabeth Hart.

Raised in Aberdeen, she graduated in the first graduating class at Hoquiam Junior College.

She married John C. Worthington in 1938 at her sister's home in Seattle. Mr. Worthington preceded her in death in 1988. The couple raised four children on Bainbridge Island, then moved to Sequim in 1966.

Mrs. Worthington loved tennis and golf and was captain of SunLand Women's Golf Association in 1977.

She enjoyed watching the Mariners, tennis and golf.

She is survived by her children, Willadee and Jim Tallman; John and Kathy Worthington; William and Lois Worthington; and Doug and Jackie Worthington; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be sent to a charity of choice.

Linde Family Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.



Ralph Connor

MacDonald

Service plans for Port Angeles resident Ralph Connor MacDonald will be announced at a later date. Mr. MacDonald died July 6, 2009, at the age of 67.

He was born Nov. 4, 1941.

Ernest 'Ernie' Reed

No service was reported for Port Angeles resident Ernest "Ernie" Reed, who died July 10, 2009, at the age of 58.

He was born June 6, 1951, to James L. Harris and Velda Fries Harris.

Wayne Allen Kinsey

No service was reported for Sequim resident Wayne Allen Kinsey, who died July 11, 2009, at the age of 61.

He was a retired U.S. Marine Corps gunnery sergeant.

He was born March 6, 1948, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
