Marcus Daniel Sessions
No services were reported for Sequim resident Marcus Daniel Sessions, who died April 4, 2010, at the age of 36.
He was born May 4, 1973, in Long Beach, Calif., to Danny Sessions and Valerie Sulima.
Mr. Sessions lived in Orange County, Calif., and more recently in Sequim.
He enjoyed weightlifting, the gym, his children, dogs, good food, good movies, sports and fishing.
He is survived by his girlfriend Melodie Bowers of Sequim; sons Kyle Sessions of Sequim and Shane Everett Newell of Garden Grove, Calif.; mother and stepfather Valerie and Clint Huguley of Houston, Texas; father Danny Sessions of Dallas, Texas; and sister Alysha Engstrom of Tulare, Calif.
Sequim Valley Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Lillian Grace Alley
As the sun rose on Easter morning, Lillian Grace Alley answered our Lord's call home.
Lillian G. Russell Alley passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 in Sequim, WA. She was born April 15, 1910 and went to school in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Lillian was the middle child of 5 children. She worked in Pagosa Springs at a bank until she married Arthur Alley in 1931. They had 2 children, Yvonne and Jack.
Arthur worked for the U.S. Forest Service and the family lived in Red Feather Lakes east of Denver, Colorado. In 1939 they moved to Sandpoint Idaho where they raised their family. Lillian worked at the local co-op as the head bookkeeper.
In 1961 she and Arthur moved to Everett, WA where she worked at United Good Way and Chaffee's Women's apparel until her retirement in 1971.
After Arthur's death in 1979, Lillian moved to Wesley Terrace in Des Moines, WA. In 2007 Lillian moved to Sequim with her daughter, Yvonne and son-in-law Jim.
Lillian gave her life to God in her early years and the Lord became her daily focus. She had a great love for the Lord, her family and her friends. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband Arthur and a grandson Brian Alley. She is survived by her daughter Yvonne (Jim) Henry, son Jack (Deanna) Alley, Spokane, 5 grand children, Ronald Henry, Dusty (Laurie) Henry, Sherry (Charlie) Donald, Brett Alley, Shawn Alley. Great-grandchildren, Jason (Ash) Donald, Kendall Henry, Kevin Donald, Michelle Henry, Lacey (Brent) Lovell and a great-great-grandchild due in August, along with many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews whom all remained close throughout the years.
BILL "GOZ" GOHSMAN
passed away quietly "if you can believe that" on March 29, 2010 surrounded by his loving children, Greg, Gail, and Gwen.
He was born to William R. Gohsman and Anne Meyer on January 22, 1926. Goz pursued his love of airplanes enlisting in the Army Air Force during WW2 as a B17G Tail Gunner in Squadron A 307 AAF BU flying combat missions over Germany while based in Lavinum, England. Goz, among other ribbons and Theater medals, was awarded the Bronze Battle Star. Upon being honorably discharged, he attended St. Louis University earning his pilot's license and BS in Aeronautical Engineering. Later in life he changed careers to sell insurance for Family Life and was recognized with "Rookie of the Year." Goz continued his sales career for 20 years with Travel Info Centers, Radio, The Gazette, and Peninsula Daily News. Bill also produced the "50 Something" insert for the paper.
He loved to tell a story and make people laugh. He would often say, "Laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone."
Bill married the love of his life Dorothy on Dec 30th, 1950, and often said "he was lucky to have married the right girl." When asked how he was married so long, Bill shared "I sat Dorothy down and said "I am the man of the house and will make all the big decisions, Dorothy, as the woman, you make all the small decisions." After 59 years they just never had any Big decisions.
He is survived by Dorothy, their 3 children, Greg and wife Celene of Cle Elum, Gail of Seattle, and Gwen of Issaquah, and 3 grand-children, Jivan, Joel, and Geri. Bill is also survived by his brother Robert of Milwaukee, WI.
A Rosary will be held 7p.m. April 16th, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sequim, WA, a memorial Mass at 1p.m. April 17th, and a Celebration of Life at 3p.m., at the SunLand Golf and Country Club, 109 Hilltop Drive, Sequim WA, 98382.
