Ruth Angeline Fiss Barnes
There will be a memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, at Sequim Community Church, 950 N. Sequim Ave., for Sequim resident Ruth Angeline Fiss Barnes, who died Oct. 15, 2012, at the age of 91.
She was born Jan. 26, 1921, in Kuna, Idaho, to Ed and Mildred Fiss.
She took a degree in social work from Linfield College and was a social worker for the State of Washington.
She married Robert Barnes in June 1944; in 2009 they celebrated 65 years together.
The couple moved to Saratoga, Calif., in 1963 and to Sequim in 1981. They established the “King’s Dome” ministry, a retreat for Christian workers and their families.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Barnes; her sister, Lois; a daughter, Joanne; and a great-granddaughter, Samantha.
She is survived by her sister, Joyce Wilde, of Vancouver, Wash.; sons and daughters-in-law William and Jan Barnes, of Sequim; Edwin and Jana Dee Barnes, of Willow Grove, Pa.; Stephen and Barbara Barnes, of Bellevue; John and Lorna Barnes, of Mukilteo; daughters and sons-in-law Christy and John Juhl, of Everett; Karen and Steve George, of Spanaway; son-in-law Manuel Costa, of Needles, Calif.; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Pearl A. Little
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, at Chapel of the Hills, Auburn Calif., for Sequim resident Pearl A. Little, who died Oct. 23, 2012, at the age of 94.
The Rev. Bruce Lundberg officiates and burial will be at New Auburn Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 18, 1918, in Randsburg, Calif., to Damien and Anna Bescos Oteiza.
She married Oleg Little on Feb. 14, 1940, in Las Vegas, Nev.
A homemaker and gardener, she lived in San Pedro and Auburn, Calif., before moving to Sequim.
She was preceded in death by her brother John Orteiza; sister Consuelo Forsberg; sister Josephine Smith; and sister Alice Oteiza.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Kilgore, of Sequim; Kathy Heisleman, of Loomis, Calif.; and Kerry Little, of Santa Barbara, Calif.; son Kevan Little, of Auburn, Calif.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were by Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel.
Audrey E. Bloom
Sequim resident Audrey E. Bloom died Oct. 23, 2012, at the age of 72.
She was born Feb. 3, 1940, in Hauppauge, N.Y., to Herman and Sylvia Nelson Johnson.
She married Joseph Bloom on Oct. 27, 1971, in Linden, N.J.
She was an accountant and home engineer.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Cathy Boysen.
She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Boysen; son Chris Boysen; stepsons Marc Bloom and Ritch Bloom; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.
Sequim Valley Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
