Neither team was playoff-bound, but the scores showed quite a disparity.
Skagit Valley topped Peninsula 6-2 in the opener and 19-0 in the second game of a May 10 doubleheader in Port Angeles, ending the Pirates season with a 5-31 conference mark, second-to-last in the NWAACC North division.
Missy Minor and Bethany Holt each had two hits in the opener and Sierra McCoy capped her P.C. career with a solid game, but the Cardinals out-hit the Pirates 12-5 for a four-run victory.
In game two, Peninsula saw the pitching debut of Kayla Ralston and she suffered the double-digit loss. The Pirates managed just two hits Ralston and Damaris Craig while the Cardinals got 21 base hits, four from former Sequim High standout Chantal Hughes.
Other than four forfeit wins against Edmonds, Peninsula managed just one on-the-field victory this season.
