Needing a win against division-leading Shoreline on Wednesday evening to secure a spot in the NWAACC playoffs, the Peninsula College Pirate men's basketball team got exactly that. The Pirates overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to top the visiting Dolphins 94-87. Peninsula (10-6 in conference play, 13-12 overall) opens the NWAACC tournament in Kennewick on March 6 against Tacoma (13-2, 21-3), the top team from the NWAACC West.
