April hoops tourney set
The Port Angeles Recreation Department hosts the April Fools’ Extravaganza Tournament April 2-3, with divisions for boys and girls basketball teams in grades 5-12. There is a four-game guarantee and a $235 entry fee.

Golf tourney helps SHS seniors
The 2011 Golfing for Sequim High School Seniors tournament is slated for Saturday, April 9, at The Cedars at Dungeness golf course.
Check-in is at 7:30 a.m. and the tourney begins with shotgun starts at 8:30 a.m.
Cost is $60 per person or $120 per team. Fee includes 18 holes of play, lunch, awards and prizes. Other tourney features are $5 mulligans, $1 long putt contest, $10-per-person honey pot, all optional.

Bike tour back in Dungeness
The second weekend of the 14th annual “Tour De Dungeness” bicycle races is set for Saturday, March 19.
Races begin at 9:45 a.m.; they start and end at the parking lot at the north end of Kitchen Dick Road. The course is a 12-mile loop using Lotzgesell, Cays, Anderson, Sequim-Dungeness, Woodcock and Kitchen-Dick roads.

Summer tennis camp registration set
The Sequim unit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula hosts its fourth annual summer tennis camp for youths ages 5-16 from 9 a.m.-noon, June 27-July 8. The camp is at the Sequim High School tennis courts, 601 N. Sequim Ave.
Early registration is slated for 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, March 19, at the courts, come rain or shine. A one-year U.S. Tennis Association membership can be purchased at that time for $19.
For youths 10 and younger, this fee includes a tennis racket.
