Sequim's Luke Mooney ended 2012 in fine fashion, taking a pair of top awards at the North Mason Classic Dec. 29 in Belfair.

Wrestling at 138 points, Mooney went 3-0 to win the weight class. He earned a takedown of River Ridge's Daniel Montesa in the finals for an 8-7 victory. 

Mooney also earned the Sportsmanship Award along with the Most Outstanding Wrestler under 145 pounds for the tournament. 

The host North Mason Bulldogs took first place in the team scoring with Columbia River second and Olympic third.
