The Wolves held their composure for a big win Tuesday night at home against Olympic League last-place opponent North Mason.
Going into halftime, Sequim (10-1 in Olympic League, 12-3 overall) held a one-point lead before Gabe Carter (22 points) and Jayson Brocklesby (19 points) came alive to help Sequim push its lead to 15 at the end of the third period and for the 67-46 win against the Bulldogs (1-11 in league).
Yet Sequim head coach Greg Glasser knows even lower-tier teams aren't afraid of the Wolves.
“They weren't intimidated at all,” he said. "(Klahowya) looks to do the same ... Their season is based on winning against (us) on Friday night. North Mason was, too.”
Sequim visits Klahowya (4-8 in league) Friday night.
Carter, who now is Sequim's all-time leading rebounder (516), grabbed seven rebounds while dishing out six assists and sinking six of 11 attempted 3-pointers.
Jayson Brocklesby scored 19 and distributed three assists.
Andrew Shimer scored eight points and collected six boards, all in the second half. Alex Barry scored seven points, Erik Christensen four, Jedd Posadas three, and Anthony Pinza and Rory Kallappa two points each.
