Sequim’s fastpitch team advanced through the West Central District Tournament in Tacoma May 19 with a 2-1 mark, securing the district’s No. 3 seed. The Wolves went on to place fifth at state, losing in the semi-finals to North Mason, the eventual state 2A champions. It was Sequim’s highest place at the state fastpitch tournament.
