More than 1,400 participants ran, walked and wheeled their way to the finish line at the North Olympic Discovery Marathon and Half Marathon June 10. The annual race saw hundreds of locals and as many out-of-towners speed along long stretches of the Olympic Discovery Trail, with the full marathon starting in Sequim's Carrie Blake Park and ending at the Port Angeles City Pier. Seattle's Danny Hayman (2:46:00) won the full marathon and Lori Burratto of Spokane Valley took the women's division (3:10:49). Ron Young of Oak Harbor won the half marathon (1:16:08) while Sequim High 2007 grad Stephanie Marcy won the women's half marathon (1:28:50).
