Wounded Warrior fishing events
The Naval Elks Lodge #353 and the Korean War Veterans Association will be hosting two Wounded Warrior fishing events this year. This program brings soldiers from Joint Base Lewis-McChord Warrior Transition Battalion to our area for five days of comradeship, relaxation and fishing. The hosts are asking for financial support to pay for fishing licenses, fuel for the boats, transportation to and from Madigan Veterans Hospital, lodging, meals and prizes.
They have set up a sponsor program — Bronze if you donate $250-$499, Silver if you donate $500-$999 and Gold for donations of $1,000 and up.
As a sponsor your name will be included in all promotions and you will be invited to the meet-and-greet reception and closing ceremonies. However, any amount is welcomed and helpful!
All donations may be mailed to the Naval Elks Lodge #353, 131 E. First St., Port Angeles, WA 98362. It is a 501(c)(3) organization. For more information on the event, e-mail Gerald Rettela at eletteor@msn.com.
