United Way of Clallam County will hold a Campaign Awards Reception at the Port Angeles Red Lion Hotel on Thursday, March 6.

Social time begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by a program from 6-7 p.m. Cost is $15 per person for an appetizer buffet.

“While our fundraising campaign is at only 75 percent of our $1 million goal, we want to acknowledge the individuals, businesses and employee groups who contributed, as well as the volunteers who give their time in support of United Way,” said Jody Moss, executive director.

Funds raised during the annual campaign are distributed to 23 nonprofit agencies providing health and human service programs in Clallam County and to United Way initiatives including Early Learning and the 2-1-1 Information and Referral Line.

United Way’s annual meeting will be at noon on Tuesday, March 11. Nominated to lead the organization in 2014 are president, Josh Fox, Platt Irwin Law Firm; vice president, Jo Johnston, Green Crow Timber; and treasurer, Betsy Fulwider, Pierce Jones Associates.
