Veteran Master Gardener Marilynn Elliott will share information to home gardeners on caring for perennials at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11.
The presentation will be held at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road, Sequim, as part of the Master Gardener Class Act educational series.
Elliott will talk to community members on enjoying flowering perennials in the garden from early spring to late fall. She also will discuss how to propagate numerous perennials that grow well on the Olympic Peninsula and how to care for these plants throughout the growing season.
Elliott has been an avid gardener ever since she was young and has a large garden at her home where she can enjoy growing perennials and using the beautiful flowers in cut arrangements. She has been a Master Gardener for over 12 years and has been very active in several activities within the Master Gardener Program. She received the Master Gardener of the Year Award and also has been a recipient of the Golden Trowel Award.
The Class Act at Woodcock Garden is presented at 10 a.m. on various Saturdays throughout the summer. The presentation is free and open to the public. However, donations to help offset copying costs for handouts are accepted.
