SHS building an embarrassment

How are you? How is your modernization going? I am so excited to hear that you are making such strides to move forward in your life! Everyone needs to step up on occasion, test the boundaries of complacency, and move on! I know change is difficult but if we all don’t change, we all remain the same!

Dear Old Friend Sequim,

How are you? How is your modernization going? I am so excited to hear that you are making such strides to move forward in your life! Everyone needs to step up on occasion, test the boundaries of complacency, and move on! I know change is difficult but if we all don’t change, we all remain the same!

Worse than change, however, is unwillingness to see beyond the close at hand. Take for example the Sequim School District struggle. I recently experienced the shock of such stagnation when I took an international student and her father on a tour of SHS. I was so embarrassed! The entire school looked dilapidated, run down and plain old SAD! How did we get here?

Further, I went online and viewed the videos at www.sequimschools.com which gave this reality even more weight. Our school district buildings are in the same state as the tear-down homes in Detroit! We need to change!

I hope your transformation into a vibrant, economically abundant, and visually beautiful town enhances the already fabulous place that you are! Keep on the path to enrichment!
