Readers may be wondering exactly what happened with the captions to those Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club pictures on A-1 this week.
Basically, we were in the process of flopping one picture in for another and didn’t swap out the corresponding captions. It’s my fault (editor Michael Dashiell).
Anyhow, here are the photos with — hopefully! — the correct captions, plus a couple of other photos from the same show.
Fabulous in fur
“Dogs’ lives are too short,” wrote the late author Agnes Sligh Turnbull. “Their only fault, really.”
It was hard to find fault with many (or any) of the canine contestants last weekend at the 15th annual Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club dog shows on the Blake family property just south of Carrie Blake Park.
Dogs representing about 150 breeds competed for prizes, championships and titles in Breed, while dogs of purebred and mixed varieties competed in Obedience/Rally events.
The club is back at the Blake property for the Three AKC Agility All-Breed Trials, slated for Aug. 12-14.
