Erlina’s Kitchen is now open in Sequim.

Erlina Stevenson, a native of the Philippines, is dishing up Filipino and American food at her new restaurant, which is inside the VFW building at 169 E. Washington St., Sequim.

The specialties include her famous lumpia, a Filipino-style egg roll stuffed with turkey, chicken or pork. For a hot dessert during the cool weather, try the turón — a banana-stuffed lumpia.

The price is right, too. A cheeseburger with fries and veggies is just $4.

Stevenson also is dishing up additional Filipino specialties, including pork or chicken in adobo sauce, which is a combination of vinegar and fresh garlic.

Pansit, a vegetable dish that includes carrots and celery, is the traditional birthday food of the Philippines. It’s also on the regular menu.

Stevenson also has daily specials. On Friday, Sept. 16, she offered “Paksiw na Tilapia” — tilapia cooked in vinegar with garlic, ginger and “other seasonings.” (“I don’t want everyone to know all of my secrets,” she said.)

Erlina’s will be open from 2-8 p.m. every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with takeout available.

If the timing is inconvenient, you can find Stevenson every Saturday at the Open Aire Market, where she also serves her specialties.
