A 79-year-old Sequim man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after crashing his 2002 Yamaha motorcycle just before noon on Sept. 7 at the intersection of Hooker Road and U.S Highway 101.
According to a Washington State Patrol report, Joseph L. Cvitkovich was traveling northbound on Hooker Road and failed to stop at the traffic light at the Highway 101 intersection.
Joy A. Newman, 37, also of Sequim, who reportedly was traveling eastbound in a two-door Geo Tracker on the highway, struck Cvitkovich’s motorcycle. Newman was not injured.
Charges against Cvitkovich are pending, the state patrol reported.
