Laurie Tanguay sings when she’s happy.
Lately she’s been singing a lot.
LoBo Designs of Sequim, Tanguay’s pride and joy, signed a formal agreement with Print Printers, Inc. of Houston, Texas, earlier this month. Now, the Carlsborg print shop across the street from the post office has the ability to print hard and soft-bound books, catalogs, technical manuals, retail catalogs, consumer packaging, CDs and DVDs.
"We are pleased to have this opportunity to expand our design services and provide a broader range of printing and fulfillment support for authors, educators, publishers, artists, institutions and commercial enterprises.
"There are a lot of people here who want to print their own full color, high-end, hard-bound coffee-table-style
books, and now we can."
Tanguay expects the partnership to attract additional business.
"Nobody else on the peninsula can do books," she said.
"People in the southern part of the peninsula no longer have to go to Seattle or Canada for their publishing needs."
Print Printers, Inc. is known for printing high-quality educational, children’s and coffee-table books, guides and posters.
"Our scope is vast and diverse and our focus will be to provide affordable, high-quality print-related services to a larger market," said Ash Bansal, Print Printers, Inc. president, in a recent press release.
"Obviously we recognize the potential of doing business in the Pacific Northwest (and) we believe in our motto: ‘You THINK … We PRINT!!!’"
Tanguay said she’s been searching for a company to pair up with for a long time but was searching for the perfect match. Print Printers, Inc. offers U.S. and offshore printing, which was important to her because it makes high-quality printing available at an "affordable" price.
"I’m very happy with this agreement and so are they," Tanguay said.
