From the Random Acts of Kindness Club to Link Crew, the swimming pool to the basketball court, Sarah Moores is one busy high school senior.

Now, she’s Soroptimist International of Sequim’s Girl of the Month for March.

The 18-year-old Moores is involved in a number of school activities that include the Teen Advisory Board for SHS’s library and the leadership group.

She’s a team captain for the Sequim High basketball team and swam for the varsity swim team for three years. For the past three years, she has coached a fifth/sixth grade girls’ basketball team.

Outside of school, Moores is a youth leader at Sequim Community Church. There she has been a mentor, leader and role model for middle school students for two years. She says she enjoys helping others and trying to have a positive effect on their lives and hopes in the future to have a career in which she can do that.

After graduating from high school, Moores plans to attend college and major in psychology.
