The Intense City Rollers, a Port Scandalous’ Roller Derby team, went 1-2 at the Spudtown KnockDown on April 5-6 in Boise, Idaho.
In game one, Intense City knocked off Humboldt, 203-98, but fell to Treasure Valley 129-119 in game two and 262-90 to Junction City.
Team captain Molly Jensen said the Intense City Rollers, currently ranked No. 92 in the nation, will need to be ranked 60 or higher to qualify for divisional competition in August for a shot at nationals. New rankings come out in June, she said, but the team must play more higher ranked teams before June 1 to increase their chances for divisional qualification.
Port Scandalous’ home team, the Straight Shooters, hosts the Marading Mollys from Dockyard (Tacoma) at the Sequim Boys & Girls club in Sequim on May 31.
