Seven SHS Scouts achieve Eagle rank

Seven Boy Scouts of the same patrol will celebrate achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at Troop 1491's Eagle Scout Court of Honor at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, in the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim. A reception will follow.

Seven Boy Scouts of the same patrol will celebrate achieving the rank of Eagle Scout at Troop 1491’s Eagle Scout Court of Honor at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, in the Sequim Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., Sequim. A reception will follow.

In 1997, while they were in first grade at Helen Haller Elementary, Nick Grinnell, Robbie Blenk and James Clardy-Olson started their scouting careers. In 2000, while in Fourth grade, C. J. Kapetan and Rexx Ingalls joined Scouts as Webelos.

Also in 1997 in first grade at Greywolf Elementary, Alexander Lamb and Kenneth Russell started their scouting careers.

In February 2002, both groups came together when they joined Troop 1491.

These Eagle Scouts are all of the members of the Suns Out Guns Out patrol; they are

also seniors at Sequim High School.
