The Sequim Jammers fifth-/sixth-grade girls’ basketball tournament team had their best finish ever after taking second-place at the Presidents Day Tournament in Port Angeles Feb. 14-15.
The Jammers went 3-1 in the tourney.
Sequim opened the tournament by crushing the Hoquiam Grizzlies 54-2 and dropping a 28-23 decision to Anacortes Saturday night.
The next day, the Jammers dropped the Vashon Island Crazy 8’s by a score of 40-7, then got revenge against Anacortes Sunday night, topping the Seahawks 27-16.
Anacortes wound up in first place in the fifth-grade girls division. Sequim took second, followed by Vashon in third, Port Angeles in fourth and Hoquiam in fifth.
