Spring wine tour this weekend

Spring on the Olympic Peninsula is time for discovering creative pairings of new wine and cider releases with local artisan cheeses during the region’s annual Northwest Wine & Cheese Tour, set for 11 a.m.–5 p.m., May 2-3.

Spring on the Olympic Peninsula is time for discovering creative pairings of new wine and cider releases with local artisan cheeses during the region’s annual Northwest Wine & Cheese Tour, set for 11 a.m.–5 p.m., May 2-3.

Ten wineries and cideries located in the peninsula towns of Sequim, Chimacum, Port Townsend and Port Angeles, and on Marrowstone Island welcome tour-goers.

Advance tickets for the self-guided tour are available online for $25 or $30 at the door of participating wineries. Tour tickets include wine and cheese tasting at all 10 wineries and cideries plus a commemorative wine glass.

Independently, each venue charges a $5 tasting fee.
