I got my ballot for the upcoming School Bond election today (April 7). As I read about the school bond proposal, I saw one glaring omission in planning for the “large number of future students”: What happens in five years when these students graduate from elementary school and go to middle school?

Is that when they are planning to ask us for more money to upgrade the middle school?

The current proposal only mentions plans for the elementary schools and upgrades to the existing high school … if these schools are too small, surely the middle school will soon need attention as well. In a plan this ambitious shouldn’t there be some mention of the middle school as well?

I seriously think this entire plan needs to go back to the “drawing board” and have a little more thought and planning for the future go into it or we will all have another school bond election in five years or so to cover what isn’t covered here.
