Bogdan Unteanu – Unteanu, 30, of Sequim, was charged Oct. 13 by the Clallam County prosecuting attorney’s office in Clallam County Superior Court with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor and one count of delivery of marijuana to a minor, both of which are class B felonies. In a police report filed by the Sequim Police Department, Unteanu allegedly consumed marijuana and provided marijuana for two female minors to consume in his home in Sequim. Officers received recorded statements from the females, who stated the same situation had occurred several times in the past, specifying the date of Sept. 27. Then, the females indicated Unteanu had requested one of the females send him naked photos of herself in exchange for cigarettes. The girl reportedly did send him the photos with a cellular phone. Unteanu also allegedly took photographs on his own camera of himself and the female kissing. Officers obtained a search warrant for Unteanu’s residence and found the photo.
Eddi Lahmeyer – Lahmeyer, 27, of Sequim, was charged in Clallam County Superior Court with one count of theft in the second degree and five counts of forgery, all of which are class C felonies. In court documents, a Clallam County Sheriff’s deputy reported he had received testimony from a Sequim couple that Lahmeyer had taken a number of checking account checks and later cashed them for more than $695.
Joseph Zacker – Zacker, 47, of Sequim, was sentenced Oct. 15 to 30 days of confinement and $1,180 in fines for the charge of theft in the second degree, loss of misdelivered property, a class C felony. Zacker pleaded guilty to the charge, receiving a reduced level of conviction, second-
degree theft instead of first degree. Zacker’s 30 days were converted into 240 hours of community service and restitution to the victim that still is to be determined. On Aug. 6, 2007, Sequim Police received a report from the owner of CK Smoke Shop that a bag he inadvertently had left in front of his store had been stolen. The bag was filled with deposits from both the Sequim and Port Angeles smoke shops. Surveillance video showed the owner leaving the store, locking the door and leaving behind the bag. Later surveillance showed a man that police recognized as Zacker taking the bag and walking away.
Jonathan Sampson – Sampson, 32, of Sequim, saw his charges of burglary in the first degree and assault in the fourth degree dismissed without prejudice from Clallam County Superior Court Oct. 16. Court records indicate the state and prosecuting attorney’s officer were unable to find the victim to fully prosecute Sampson. Because the case was dismissed without prejudice, the charge can be refiled at a later date. On July 3, Port Angeles Police responded to a domestic violence report. Sampson allegedly forced his way into his wife’s apartment, grabbed her by the hair and struck her in the head and face several times.
Randi Leblanc – Leblanc, 44, of Sequim, entered into a diversion contract with the Clallam County Superior Court Oct. 16 for the charge of theft in the second degree. If Leblanc fully complies with the diversion agreement, the Clallam County prosecuting attorney’s Office will drop the charge. On March 21, Sequim Police were dispatched to The Home Depot for a reported employee theft. The manager reported that Leblanc allegedly had been stealing cash, food and merchandize belonging to the store for the past year. The total estimated cost of the thefts was $894.
