Schafer shares pic tips

The Olympic Peninsula Art Association will hold its next meeting Thursday, Feb. 25, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 525 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.

The social time begins at 9:30 a.m. and the business meeting is at 10 a.m. This month’s special presenter is well-known local photographer Ernst-Ulrich Schafer.

He will be presenting tips on the best way to photograph art so it looks fantastic when entering art shows or seeking gallery representation.


Philharmonic plays PC

The Los Angeles-based a cappella band, The Filharmonic, a finalist on NBC’s “The Sing-Off” and also popular from the motion picture “Pitch Perfect 2,” will make a stop on its national tour at Peninsula College in Port Angeles at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, in the Little Theater.

Only 100 tickets will be available to the community online through the Peninsula College bookstore at www.bookaneer.pencol.edu, under “Merchandise.”

Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for youths 17 and younger.

 

Local artist in Tacoma show

Sequim artist Birgit Moenig has works in the 22nd RAGS Wearable Art sale/gallery competition, March 10-13 at Larson Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma, 1701 Alexander Ave. E., Fife. The show supports victims of domestic violence in Pierce County.
