Thrift shop aids hospital
The Sequim Dungeness Hospital Guild’s Thrift Shop, 204 W. Bell St., will be open from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, with fall/Halloween items, winter clothing, home goods, tools and sporting goods. The shop needs volunteers: Call 683-7044 for information.
Local seafood has new locale
If you can’t drive out to Chicken Coop Road to the Crab Shack, the Crab Shack will come to you.
Shack owner Sonny Rinehart (at left) is now selling his seafood wares every weekend from his new stand at 290 W. Washington St., across the street from the White Cup Espresso.
The stand is open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, with a full range of good stuff from the sea, including Dungeness crabs, fresh clams and king and coho salmon.
In addition, Rinehart has smoked and regular canned salmon, “salmon candy,” and jars of fresh shucked oysters.
Some of the fresh items may not be available all the time. Call Rinehart to ask at 683-4237.
Dockside Grill lists winter hours
The Dockside Grill, 2577 West Sequim Bay Road, in Sequim, begins its new winter hours effective Oct. 31. During the winter, the restaurant will be open only for dinner, from 4-9 p.m. Wednesdays-Sundays. Call 683-7510 for more information.
Carolyn’s Cuts opens in new location
Carolyn’s Cuts & Style is now open at its new location, 609 W. Washington St., Sequim. Owner Carolyn Carle has 20 years experience in cosmetology.
Originally from Alaska, she was previously assistant manager at Sally’s Beauty Supply in Sequim.
