Sequim-area residents are invited to take part in a town hall meeting with their state House representatives from 6-7 p.m. on Friday, March 11, at the Sequim Prairie Grange, 290 Macleay Road.
Reps. Kevin Van De Wege and Steve Tharinger, both D-Sequim, will have wrapped up the first half of the 2011 legislative session and want to hear feedback from constituents about proposals under consideration in Olympia.
“It’s always good to meet with constituents in person,” Van De Wege said. “When people can have
a conversation with their legislators, face to face, they feel more involved in the process.”
Tharinger, who is the freshman legislator from the 24th District, concurred.
“People are particularly concerned about the economy and what we’re doing in Olympia to help,” Tharinger said. “This is an opportunity for people to ask questions and get information about the issues that affect them.”
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call 360-786-7916 or 786-7904.
