The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a 31-year-old Sequim man Sunday in connection with a case involving residential burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.

Andrew D. Luquette, 31, of Sequim, surrendered to police without incident. He was booked into the Clallam County Corrections Facility for residential burglary, possession of stolen property second degree, theft of a motor vehicle, theft in the first degree, malicious mischief second degree, malicious mischief third degree and an outstanding felony warrant for failing to obey a court order.

The charges are from a recent burglary where a red Jeep Cherokee, tools and household supplies were taken. The Jeep was recovered after it had been stripped and abandoned. Previouly arrested were 37-year-old Ronnie Bayley and Ryan Luquette, Andrew Luquette’s 34-year-old brother. All three suspects live in the Sequim area of Clallam County.

During the past several days, Clallam County deputies received information regarding the whereabouts and known associates of Andrew Luquette. On March 16, a tip led deputies to an address on the 100 block of Wildwood Lane. At about 9 p.m. deputies arrived and surrounded the residence. The resident was contacted and told Luquette to leave, according to law enforcement officials. Luquette walked out of the residence and surrendered without incident.

On March 13 on the 100 block of House Road, deputies and Sequim Police officers arrested Bayley for residential burglary, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property; he was booked into the Clallam County Corrections Facility.

Sheriff deputies responded on March 5 to a call about two suspicious vehicles — a gray truck and red Jeep Cherokee — on Many Feathers Way, north of Sequim. Deputies attempted to contact the driver of the gray truck, Drew Balch, before he sped off, resulting in a high speed chase and Balch’s arrest in Gardiner. Shortly thereafter, the Sheriff’s Office received information that the red Jeep and its contents were stolen from a burglary that allegedly was committed by Bayley, Andrew Luquette and Ryan Luquette.

On March 6, deputies learned Andrew Luquette was seen in a red Jeep at another residence and unloaded its contents into a storage shed. Deputies obtained a search warrant and recovered several items that were reported stolen. The next day, the Jeep was discovered on a logging road near the 2900 block of Blue Mountain Road. Later, a citizen turned in a backpack that Ryan Luquette allegedly had stolen. He was arrested about an hour later at a residence on Many Feathers Way on an outstanding warrant, possession of stolen property and residential burglary. Ryan Luquette was booked into the Clallam County Correctional Facility.
