Crosscutters topple Post 7 in Anacortes

The Sequim-based Olympic Crosscutters 18U baseball squad knocked off Post 7 with a barrage of offense in what would be their only game of a tournament in Anacortes held June 17-19.

Rain forced the cancelation of most games, but not before the Crosscutters battered Post 7 for 14 hits in an 11-3 victory.

James Thayer paced the Crosscutter offense with three hits while he, Matt Bainbridge and Justin Porter had two RBIs each.

Crosscutter pitcher Andy Johnston had two strikeouts in three innings of work.
