A dump truck-versus-traffic pole collision on U.S. Highway 101 at the main Carlsborg intersection knocked out a traffic light and caused heavy delays Tuesday morning and afternoon.
The collision was reported at about 11:15 a.m., blocking the highway’s right lane going eastbound.
Department of Transportation workers are on the scene.
Motorists are encountering delays and should use alternate routes if possible.
Crews expect the traffic signal to be in four-way flash mode until 9 p.m. tonight, according to a state Department of Transportation press release.
