Clallam’s First Book gets grant

First  Book-Clallam County announces that its program was awarded a $2,000 grant from Target Corporation.

In recognition of the efforts of First Book-Clallam County to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and keep their own new books, the grant will provide funds that will be awarded to local agencies serving children.

First Book-Clallam County has distributed over 35,000 books since 1997, encouraging low-income children to read together with their families, as well as learn the joy of beginning to read themselves.
