A new exhibition and workshop are set for the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center in late January, featuring Sue Roberts who presents “Family of Sorts.” An artist’s presentation is set for 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30, with a reception set for 5-6 p.m., at the center, 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles.

Roberts has been a professional studio artist working in ceramic and metal sculpture for more than 25 years. Her work has been displayed in museum shows and galleries across the United States and in Japan, and is in numerous private collections throughout the country.

Roberts offers a special one-day workshop called “The Portrait Bust in Clay” where she will guide students in creating their own portrait using gesture and facial expression to tell a story through their own personal and cultural experiences. See www.pafaced.org.
