Port Scandalous Roller Derby rolled out in full force for its sold out season opener on March 22. Here, second and third from left, Rebecca “Busta” Graunke and Christine “Rose” Rase try to prevent a Hot Rocket skater from passing for the Port Scandalous Roller Derby’s home team in their Sequim debut.
They defeated the Hot Rockets of Seattle to open the fourth season at their new home games venue inside the Sequim Boys & Girls Club.
The roller derby team plans to host its next home game on Saturday, May 31, at the club. Organizers encourage advance ticket sales since the event sold out. Next they’ll travel to Port Orchard on March 29 to play the Rainy City Roller Dolls before traveling the next weekend to Boise, Idaho, for Spudtown Knockdown on April 5-6 against more nationally ranked teams.
