A 68-year-old man from Naches and 22-year-old woman from Sequim were injured and transported to Olympic Medical Center after their vehicle left the roadway, crashed through a fence and struck several trees near River Road on Dec. 3.

According to a Washington State Patrol report, Johnny D. Harris — who was driving a 2002 Ford Explorer with Trisha L. Mulyahill as a passenger — exited U.S. Highway 101 westbound at the River Road exit at about 5:10 p.m.

The vehicle then re-entered Highway 101 headed eastbound crossing the highway, down an embankment and through a fence onto Turnstone Lane.

The vehicle continued westbound before striking several trees and back through the fence at Turnstone Lane before rolling and eventually coming to rest upside down.

The state patrol is investigating the incident.
